I am leading the company accessibility work group. Together, we discuss how to improve accessibility of our products and increase accessibility awareness.

Presentation & knowledge share

External

I give presentations on designing for seniors, where I explore the intersection of gerontological design and accessibility, and examine how AI is being applied in today’s gerontechnology landscape.

Internal

Together with two other designers, I led a company-wide workshop focusing on empathy building, resource sharing, and accessible technologies. I also host a session (along with our accessibility expert) in the new-hire immersion program, introducing new employees no matter their roles to the concept of accessibility.

VPAT

I conduct VPAT assessments for the products I design and create tickets on Jira to fix anything that violates our desired accessibility standards.

Outside of work

I am a guide for athletes with disabilities. You can catch us running at Prospect Park!

I believe building empathy is the first step for advocating for accessibility. I am learning so much from the friends I've met at Achilles International running club Brooklyn Chapter!
